Final meeting : Future of Polarimetry
Rationale :
This was the final meeting of our COST Action MP1104. The goal of the meeting was twofold : first, to review and evaluate the activities carried out during the 4 years of the Action ; second, to discuss about future of polarimetry, both with ground-based telescopes and in space.
The STSM session has highlighted some of the most striking results obtained thanks to STSM during the 4 year duration of the Action. Selection was made in order to cover as many varied targets as possible, as well as to cover activities within each WG (observations, theory & modeling, instrumentation, laboratory measurements). Priority was given to young scientists and we also tried to keep a gender balance whenever possible.
Future of polarimetry in astrophysics was then covered by the two sessions "Polarimetry in space" (also including cubesats) and "Future of ground-based polarimetry".
A short session on education & outreach concluded the meeting.
